After her grandmother’s death, the relatives entered the house not with tears, but with calculations. Everyone already knew what they wanted to take. One claimed the jewelry, another the wardrobes, a third the house documents. When it was the granddaughter’s turn, the notary calmly announced that the only thing left in her name was an old sewing machine that had been gathering dust in the storage room for years. Laughter spread through the room. One person said it belonged in a museum. Another suggested selling it for scrap metal. But the girl quietly took the machine and brought it home. She lived in a tiny apartment where everything was old and half-broken. She had almost no money, but decided to clean the machine and maybe make it work again. When she opened the lower drawer, she found only rusty needles and old thread remains.
