The story began in the silence of a luxurious Rolls-Royce. The car was parked slightly away from the busy street, its windows tinted, far from cameras and other people.

— Madeline, you must marry him. He’s the son of my business partner. It will be better for everyone, — her father said calmly, without even looking at her.

— For everyone? For whom exactly? — her voice trembled, but anger was already burning in her eyes. — Dad, I hate that man. He’s rude, he’s vile… I will not become his wife.
