Why should you put a clove of garlic in the toilet at night? Knowing its uses, every family wants to follow suit

What is the effect of putting a clove of garlic in the toilet?
The bathroom is always damp, and it’s prone to unpleasant odors due to the toilet and stagnant water. These odors can spread to other rooms, affecting the health of the household members.
To tackle the unpleasant smells in the bathroom, there are various methods you can use.
One simple method is to use garlic. At night, before going to bed, peel a garlic clove (or more), and cut it into small pieces so that its distinct aroma can spread more effectively. Toss the garlic into the toilet and close the lid. Leave it overnight.
The next morning, flush the toilet. The smell from the toilet will disappear. Garlic contains allicin, a compound that acts as a natural antibiotic, helping to eliminate odors and bacteria effectively.
You can apply this garlic-in-the-toilet method once every two weeks, combined with regular scrubbing, to keep the bathroom clean and odor-free.
Placing garlic in the toilet helps to clean, disinfect, and eliminate odors.
Other methods to remove toilet odors:
-
Vinegar:
Vinegar contains natural acids that help disinfect and remove mold and some common pathogens. Additionally, it helps to eliminate toilet odors. You can pour vinegar directly into the toilet and let it sit for a few hours or overnight. The acid in the vinegar will soften stains while killing bacteria and neutralizing odors. The next morning, scrub the toilet with a brush and flush.
You can also place a bowl of vinegar in the corner of the bathroom to neutralize odors and repel insects.
-
Lemon:
Lemon's acidity also helps remove stains, kill bacteria, and neutralize odors. The fresh scent of lemon will provide a pleasant atmosphere in the bathroom.
You can squeeze the juice from 2-3 lemons (or blend the lemon with a little water, strain out the pulp, and use the juice). Pour the juice into the toilet and let it sit for about 10 minutes or longer. Afterward, use a toilet brush to clean the toilet and flush.
-
Salt:
Salt helps enhance the cleaning effect of the toilet, as well as contributing to disinfecting and neutralizing odors. You can sprinkle salt over the surface of the toilet and use a brush to scrub off stains. Pour hot water over the toilet to remove any remaining debris.
