Rain slammed against the windshield.

Jason kept calling her phone.

Again.
Again.
Again.

She ignored every call.

The moment she reached the apartment building, she sprinted upstairs barefoot.

Her daughter’s bedroom door was slightly open.

The apartment was silent.

Too silent.

Emily pushed the door open slowly.

Her little daughter sat frozen in bed clutching a teddy bear.

Tears streamed down her tiny face.

“Mommy…” she whispered. “He said not to move.”

Emily’s heart stopped.

“Who said that?”

The little girl slowly pointed downward.

Under the bed.

Emily backed away in horror.

Then—

A phone vibrated underneath the bedframe.

Buzz. Buzz.

Emily shakily crouched down.

And saw—

A man lying flat under the bed in complete darkness.

Smiling.

Holding a knife.

Emily screamed and stumbled backward.

The man suddenly crawled out FAST—

But before he could grab her—

Jason burst into the room.

And punched the man violently across the face.

The stranger crashed into the wall unconscious.

Emily collapsed crying.

“Jason… who IS he?!”

Jason stared silently at the unconscious man.

Then his face turned pale.

Because—

He recognized him.

It was his own brother.

The brother who supposedly died three years ago.
