US Deploys B-52 Bombers Over Iran as Military Shifts to 'Dynamic Targets'

WASHINGTON D.C. — General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, announced that the U.S. military has commenced B-52 bomber operations within Iranian airspace. The move signals a strategic shift toward engaging more flexible and high-value targets as the conflict enters its second month.

Dominating the Skies: The Strategic Shift

Speaking at a Pentagon press briefing on the morning of March 31 (U.S. time), General Caine highlighted the successful execution of the first land-based B-52 missions. He attributed this progression to the overwhelming air superiority established by coalition forces.

"With increasing air supremacy, we have begun successfully conducting the first land-based B-52 missions. This allows us, as previously stated, to continue overwhelming the adversary and transition toward increasingly dynamic targets," General Caine stated.

30 Days of Conflict: 11,000 Targets Neutralized

According to the General, the U.S. and its allies have maintained a relentless pace since the onset of hostilities. In just 30 days, the military has struck over 11,000 targets across Iran. These operations have been pivotal in securing total control over Iranian airspace for U.S. and Israeli forces.

The scale of the campaign has significantly degraded Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities. General Caine provided a breakdown of the strategic losses inflicted on the Iranian military:

  • Naval Attrition: Over 150 vessels have been sunk, including the entirety of the Jamaran-class destroyer fleet.

  • Defense Industry: Large-scale strikes have targeted manufacturing plants, storage warehouses, and logistics hubs.

  • Nuclear Infrastructure: Research and development laboratories, along with related critical infrastructure, remain primary targets in the ongoing campaign.

Sustaining Momentum

The deployment of the B-52 Stratofortress—a long-range, heavy bomber capable of carrying up to 70,000 pounds of weapons—underscores the U.S. military's intent to sustain high-pressure operations.

"We continue to target their defense industrial base on a massive scale," Caine added, emphasizing that the mission aims to systematically dismantle the adversary's ability to wage prolonged warfare.
