A top US general revealed that soldiers consumed approximately 3.6 million liters of coffee and two million cans of energy drinks during the six weeks of conflict with Iran.
"We consumed over six million meals and, to my estimate, about 3.6 million liters of coffee and two million cans of energy drinks. However, I'm not saying this is a problem," Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine said on April 8th during a press conference updating on the campaign against Iran.
According to CBS, that amount is equivalent to 7.6 million cups of coffee.

In a 2019 study based on more than 26,000 responses from active-duty US military personnel, 87% of respondents reported using at least one caffeinated product per week. The study showed that coffee was the most popular caffeinated beverage among the US military, with 68% of participants using it. Energy drinks were the choice of 29% of servicemen.
Combat-duty soldiers tended to consume more caffeinated products, especially coffee and energy drinks. Meanwhile, support personnel consumed the most tea and chewing gum.
Also at the press conference on April 8, General Caine stated that the US military had struck more than 13,000 targets in Iran, including approximately 4,000 targets that "appeared unexpectedly on the battlefield."
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff estimated that 80% of Iran's air defense system had been destroyed, equivalent to more than 1,500 targets. US forces also struck more than 700 mine-related targets and destroyed more than 95% of Iran's mines.
After more than six weeks of fighting, the US and Iran reached a two-week ceasefire agreement on the morning of April 8. Both sides claimed victory in the conflict.
