🎬 PART 2: «The Letter Hidden Inside the Roses»

Ethan pulled the letter free with shaking hands.

The bride took one step backward, her face losing all color.

“Ethan,” she whispered. “Don’t open that here.”

He looked up slowly.

“How do you know what it says?”

Her lips parted, but no answer came.

His mother gripped his sleeve. “Son, please listen to me. I never left you.”

The ballroom went silent as Ethan unfolded the letter.

It was signed by his late father.

His eyes moved across the page, then stopped.

“My father wrote this before he died,” Ethan said, his voice breaking. “He says he paid you to stay away from me.”

The old woman sobbed and nodded.

“He threatened to take you from me forever,” she whispered. “I had nothing. No lawyer. No one believed me.”

Ethan’s jaw tightened.

Then he read the final lines.

His eyes lifted toward his bride.

“And he says your father helped him do it.”

A gasp moved through the guests.

The bride clutched her chest. “I didn’t know any of that.”

Ethan held up the letter.

“Then why did you tell security not to let her into the wedding?”

Her silence was answer enough.

The elderly woman looked at her son through tears.

“She came to see me last week,” she said. “She offered me money to disappear again.”

Ethan stared at the woman he had almost married.

“You knew my mother was alive?”

The bride’s voice cracked. “I was scared. My father said if you found out, you would leave me.”

“You let me mourn a living woman.”

She began to cry. “Ethan, please. I love you.”

He looked down at the red roses his mother had carried through humiliation just to reach him.

Then he removed his wedding ring.

“The wedding is over.”

The bride shook her head desperately as he placed the ring beside the fallen rose on the floor.

His mother held his arm as though she still feared someone might take him away.

Ethan turned to her, tears finally falling.

“I’m sorry I didn’t know,” he whispered.

She touched his face with both trembling hands.

“You know now.”

Together, they walked down the long white aisle beneath the chandeliers.

Behind them, the bride stood alone in her lace gown, surrounded by flowers, music, and hundreds of guests who had just watched the truth arrive carrying red roses.
