Former Big Brother season 27 contestant Mickey Lee is currently in critical condition after experiencing a series of cardiac arrests, according to information shared through a newly launched GoFundMe campaign.
The fundraiser was created by organizer Kori Smith, who shared an emotional message asking the public for support during this extremely difficult period. “Today, we come together with heavy hearts to ask for your help,” Smith wrote. “Mickey recently suffered multiple cardiac arrests and is now receiving intensive care. While her condition is critical, she is stable and under constant supervision by medical professionals.”
Smith emphasized that Mickey has been surrounded by loved ones throughout the ordeal but noted that her recovery will be a long and challenging process. The GoFundMe page explains that Mickey and her family are facing significant emotional and financial pressure, driven by growing hospital bills, specialized medical treatment, and the extensive care required during her recovery.
The fundraiser is seeking financial assistance to help cover medical expenses not fully covered by insurance, including ICU stays, specialist consultations, rehabilitation services, and ongoing recovery support. In addition, donations will help offset travel, lodging, and related costs for family members who are staying close to Mickey during her hospitalization.
“Mickey has impacted countless people through her fearless spirit, vibrant personality, and unforgettable presence on Big Brother,” the fundraiser states. “Now is the time to return that love and support when she needs it most.”
Mickey Lee appeared on the most recent season of CBS’s long-running reality competition series Big Brother, which aired from July 10 through September 28. Season 27 followed the show’s signature format, in which contestants—known as houseguests—live together in a specially designed house, forming alliances and navigating social strategy while competing to avoid weekly eviction. The final remaining contestant ultimately wins the show’s $750,000 grand prize.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Mickey works as an event curator and currently resides in Atlanta, according to the fundraising page. She attended several Big Brother fan events during the season, including a watch party in Atlanta on September 11.
As of December 22, the GoFundMe campaign—also shared on Mickey’s official Instagram account—has raised $6,099 toward its $13,000 goal. Supporters continue to contribute and share messages of encouragement, hoping to ease the burden on Mickey and her family as she focuses on healing.
