The bus carrying the new inmates arrived at the prison gates early in the morning. After processing, the female guards
lined everyone up and escorted them to the housing block. One woman immediately stood out—short, slender, with tired
eyes and rain-soaked hair. She silently stared at the floor without saying a single word.
The moment she stepped into the block, several inmates exchanged glances and began to laugh quietly.
— Look at the little quiet one.
— She won’t last a week in here.
— She’s going to be an easy target.
A tall, heavily tattooed woman named Brenda, feared by almost everyone in the prison, slowly walked over to the
newcomer and looked her up and down with a mocking grin.
— What’s your name?
— Emily.
— Forget your name. Around here, you’ll be called whatever I decide.
The others burst into loud laughter.
A few minutes later, one of the inmates deliberately slammed her shoulder into Emily. She lost her balance but managed
to stay on her feet.
— Watch it, newbie. You might fall.
The laughter grew even louder.
On the way to the showers, the harassment continued. One woman stepped on her heel, another deliberately elbowed
her, and as she walked across the wet floor, someone quietly stuck out a leg.
Emily stumbled and crashed hard into a puddle. Loud laughter echoed around her.
— Well, at least she’s had a shower now!
— Get her up! The show’s just getting started!
Brenda stepped closer with a look of contempt.
— Remember one rule. Nobody helps the weak in here.
She grabbed Emily by the collar and shoved her toward the showers.
— Go on. Have some fun with her.
Several inmates surrounded the newcomer, blocking every possible exit. One shoved her hard in the chest, while another
swung a punch at her face, expecting the frightened woman to fall again.

Emily calmly stepped aside, avoiding the punch. Then, in one lightning-fast motion, she caught her attacker’s arm and
slammed her onto the wet tile floor. The woman didn’t even have time to understand what had happened.
The shower room fell completely silent.
Brenda frowned.
— Lucky shot. Try again.
This time Brenda charged forward herself, convinced she could knock the newcomer down with a single blow. But Emily
was far too fast. She dodged the attack, delivered a quick palm strike to Brenda’s torso, then swept her legs out from
under her. The massive woman crashed heavily onto the wet floor.
The other inmates stood frozen in disbelief.
— What are you waiting for? All of you, together! — Brenda shouted
Several women rushed at Emily at once. But she moved with such confidence that it seemed as though she already knew
every move they were about to make. She blocked one woman’s arm, calmly but decisively threw another to the floor,
while a third slipped on the wet tiles as she tried to grab Emily from behind.
A few seconds later, Emily was the only one still standing.
She wasn’t even breathing heavily.
The entire shower room fell into absolute silence.
Brenda slowly got back to her feet, holding her bruised side, and for the first time in years looked at someone without a
trace of mockery.
— Who are you?
Emily looked calmly into her eyes.
— Someone who never starts a fight. But always finishes it.
After those words, no one dared come anywhere near her again. By that evening, the entire prison was talking about the
mysterious new inmate who had single-handedly put the most dangerous prisoners in their place. At the time, no one
